Producer Anand Pandit says ‘Sarkar 4’ will be made only if Amitabh Bachchan likes script & Omkara Remake & Desi Boys 2 are currently in the scripting stage

Anand Pandit, a notable film producer, has been involved in various intriguing projects lately, such as ‘Thank God’ and ‘The Big Bull’ on OTT. Recently, he announced that he has obtained the rights to remake ‘Omkara’ and is planning to produce a sequel to ‘Desi Boyz,’ which originally starred John Abraham and Akshay Kumar. His next venture is ‘Kabzaa,’ featuring Kiccha Sudeepa,Shriya Saran, and Upendra, scheduled to be released on March 17. In an interview with ETimes, the producer revealed details about his upcoming projects.

According toAnand Pandit, the script for ‘Sarkar 4’ is currently being developed. However, he mentioned that they will only proceed with the project ifAmitabh Bachchan approves of the script and agrees to be a part of the film. Pandit added that without Bachchan, it would not be possible to make ‘Sarkar 4’. He was quoted as sharing, “The film is currently in the scripting stage. But we will make it only if Mr Bachchan likes the script and says yes. Otherwise, we can’t make ‘Sarkar 4’ without him.”

According to Anand Pandit, the trolling on the internet regarding the ‘Omkara’ remake and the sequel to ‘Desi Boyz’ is not a concern for him. He stated that ‘Omkara’ is a beautiful story that deserves to be remade every 15-20 years for a new generation of the audience to enjoy, and that different directors can bring their own perspective to the film. As for the ‘Desi Boyz’ sequel, Pandit believes that the original film was a light-hearted favorite and the sequel would be fun to make.

The cast and directors for these projects are yet to be decided, as they are still in the planning stage. He shared, “First we want to write the films properly, only then we will think about having a director or actors on board depending on who would suit the script.”
